Hats are quick to knit, great for using up odd balls of yarn, keep your ears cozy and make great wintertime gifts! Stranded hats are a good tool for swatching that dream sweater you always wanted to knit. In class we will cover how to strand two colors and how to read a chart.

Supplies:
- Smooth worsted weight yarn in two highly contrasting colors (75g Main Color and 75g Contrasting Color)
- US size 6 and 8 needles: 16 inch circular (or sizes needed to get gauge of 5 sts/in in stockinette stitch on smaller needles)
- Basic knitting supplies
Homework:
- With Main Color and smaller needle, cast on 90 stitches
- Place marker. Join without twisting and complete one inch of (k1, p1) rib
- Change to larger needles and knit one round.
