1. Class Registration
When does registration open for KDO 2026?
Registration opens on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at noon. For planning purposes, classes will be visible a week prior on July 15, 2026.
Is there an age restriction to take classes?
Yes. Classes are designed for participants 16+. If you would like to register a younger participant, please let us know ahead of time so we can clear it with the teacher. Note that younger participants must be accompanied by an adult/guardian who is also taking the class. ( https://knittersdayout.org/policies/terms-of-service )
Do i need an account to register?
Yes. If you registered for a KDO class in the past 5 years, you already have an account. Simply enter your email address at the sign-in page and you will be sent a 6-digit code to complete the login.
If you have never registered for a class but are subscribed to the KDO email list, enter that address when prompted. Note: If you use a different email, a new account will be started for you.
This is the address where we will send you all information prior to KDO - including room assignments, handouts and any changes. Please don't unsubscribe to the KDO email list before the event.
How do I pay for my registration?
We use PayPal to process payments for class registration and lunch pre-orders. You can either use your existing PayPal account at checkout or you can pay as a guest with a credit card (PayPal account not required). Checks and cash are not accepted.
The payment screen at checkout says "Pay with PayPal" on the action button. However, the next screen (on the actual PayPal site) has an option at the bottom to "Pay with Debit or Credit Card." Screenshots here should help clarify.
Can I register for someone else?
Every student needs to have their own account to register. Please don't register for someone else using your account. If you are registering for someone under 16, please contact us for instructions.
If I have to cancel, can I get a refund?
Yes, if you request a refund by the cutoff dates. Details about the KDO refund policy are available on the Refund Policy page (https://knittersdayout.org/policies/refund-policy).
If I want to change classes after I register, can I do that?
Yes. Send us a message using the Contact Us page (https://knittersdayout.org/pages/contact) and provide us the details for the change. As long as there is space in the class you want, we will make the transfer.
