We will start with your specific measurements and from there learn the specific math to adapt a sweater pattern for your preferences in fit. The same techniques are used to create designs from scratch so you will also be able to create your own pattern if you choose. We will cover common areas that need attention in order for a garment to look good and feel comfortable.

Supplies:

• Pen and paper (or e alternative)
• Calculator or calculator app loaded on your phone
• Measuring tape

Homework: Please select a sweater pattern that includes both a schematic and size measurements. Review the sizing on the schematic and try to determine where you might need to make alterations. Please bring your pattern with you to class.

Skill Level: Advanced and/or adventurous. Comfortable with the basics of how to read sweater patterns.
