Learn a fast and fun technique for creating duplicate stitches in knitting using a crochet hook. This method of surface crochet for knitters is a super easy way to do color work without having to carry your contrasting color. You will knit a swatch beforehand and learn all the tricks for surface crochet in class!

Supplies:

• 2 colors of contrasting worsted weight yarn (approx 50 yards of each)
• H crochet hook
• US8 knitting needles

Homework:

• Using worsted weight yarn and a US 8, CO 35 stitches
• Row 1 RS: k5, *p1, k3; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2
• Row 2 WS: k2, p3, *k1, p3; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2
• Repeat Row 1 & 2 20 more times.
• Bind off loosely.
