Let’s dye some one-of-a-kind yarn! In this workshop, you’re in charge as we ice dye 2 hanks of yarn using powdered dyed, our imagination, and ice! Come prepared to try something new, get dirty, and make some magic! Yarn will be available to bring home but will be wet. Please wear old clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Materials Fee: $35/student. Fee covers the cost of the dye, 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn per student, and soda ash. (Pay via Venmo (@Tanis-Gray) or pay teacher directly in class. Exact change appreciated.)

Supplies to Bring:

• Apron to protect clothing
• Gloves (medical grade or rubber cleaning gloves are fine)
• Hair Dryer
• Optional N-95 Mask
• Optional Safety Glasses
• Optional - ear protection for when hair dryers are going
• 2 plastic gallon bags to transport yarn
