Bookish Needle Felting with Gina Giles (9/26/26 1:30 PM)
Looking to add a little handmade magic to your reading time? Come join us for a cozy, creative workshop where you’ll learn the art of needle felting while making your own felted bookmark and/or book cover.
This beginner-friendly class focuses on needle felting onto prefelted fabric. You will spend time choosing and blending wool colors, designing the imagery for your piece (no worries if you can’t draw, designs will be provided) and then time to create with guided support. A bit of hand-sewing is required for finishing.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll head home with:
- A finished felted bookmark and/or book cover
- The basic skills to keep needle felting on your own (you will take home needling needles and mat)
- A fun, low-pressure creative experience
No experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Just bring yourself and a book or journal if you wish to make a book cover.
