- Copy of Traveling Cable Hat by Purl Soho (Gina Rockenwagner). Available at https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2014/09/04/traveling-cable-hat/.
- 1(2) skeins (109 yards for Baby size hat, 218 yards for Adult size hat) of Alpaca Pure or other Aran weight yarn to fit gauge*.
- Size US 5 (3.75 mm) and US 6 (4.0 mm) 20-inch circular needles
- Size US 6 (4.0 mm) DPNS
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker
- *Gauge:: 22 stitches = 3 inches in K2, P2 rib (unstretched), using smaller needles
Homework: Cast on and knit ribbing (K2, P2) according to pattern and size.
Skill Level: Intermediate. Ability to to read charts, able to work a basic cable, able to knit in the round, comfortable working with double point needles.
