KDO 2023 KAL

Along the Susquehanna!

by Elizabeth Durand

Along the Susquehanna Cowl

The Susquehanna River originates from Otsego Lake in New York and is joined by a second branch coming from western Pennsylvania. It flows for 444 miles south through Pennsylvania and into the Chesapeake Bay. Where the river passes Enola (the home of KDO), it is a mile wide. It is the longest river in the East Coast states.

Download the free Along the Susquehanna cowl pattern on Ravelry and knit the landscape! The cowl starts at the bottom with the river, then progresses upward through train tracks, the road, plowed fields, and finally a sky full of birds.

We hope you knit Along the Susquehanna with us. We would love to see your finished project, either at KDO or posted to social media. Please tag KnittersDayOut on Instagram and use hashtag #KDOCowl2023.

Our thanks go out to Elizabeth Durand, a KDO Champion, for her beautiful design!
