Make an Earflap Hat with Elizabeth Durand (9/28/24 1:30 PM)
Elizabeth Zimmermann famously said, “People will put anything on their heads, it seems to me for two reasons: either it keeps them warm, or it makes them feel cute.“ Let’s make a hat that’s fun. The classic earflap hat works for every age (even those of you who think you’re too old – news flash: you’re not too old). Adventurous knitters can dive right in and use a second color or wild stripes, but you also have the choice of making your first one in a single color while you learn the techniques. You’ll almost certainly end up making more than one, so you can experiment on the next one.
