There are so many ways to cast on and cast off for your knitted projects, and they can make a big difference in the quality of your finished item. In this class you will learn a few different ways to start and finish your projects that can take your knitting to the next level. Even if you know the basics, this class will provide tips and tricks for improving your techniques, picking up the dreaded dropped cast on stitches, and how to choose which is the right method for your project.

Supplies:

• US 8 (5 mm) or US 9 (5.5 mm) needle of your choice
• DK or worsted weight yarn (enough to make a small swatch and practice casting on 20 - 30 stitches.

Homework: Knit 2 small swatches; one in garter stitch or stockinette, ready to cast off and one in 1x1 rib, ready to cast off.
