If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to knit with two colors, mosaic knitting is a great colorwork technique to try first. Haven’t heard of mosaic knitting? Well, you wouldn’t be the first. This class is for you!
Mosaic knitting is a great introduction to colorwork. Although it may appear to be an intensive process, really these beautiful designs are worked with using only ONE color per row! In this class, you will learn the satisfying technique of mosaic knitting, which uses knits, purls, and slip stitches, to create a multi-color cowl.

Supplies:
- US 8 24" circular knitting needle
- Main Color: 180 yards DK or Worsted weight yarn
- Contrasting Color: 100 yards
- Other Tools: Stitch marker, tapestry/darning needle
- Pattern will be provided.
Homework:
- Gauge: 4 stitches per inch (after blocking)
- After meeting gauge – cast on with Main Color (MC) 128 stitches, join in round.
- Row 1: Purl
- Row 2: Knit
- Row 3: Purl
- Row 4: Add Contrasting Color (CC) and knit one row
Skill Level: Intermediate; must be comfortable knitting in the round.
