In this class, we will use intarsia (also called picture knitting) to make coasters. Learn how to read a graph, how to change colors, how to weave in the ends and how to felt. Felting of the squares will hide uneven tension changes for those new to intarsia.
Supplies:
- Worsted weight felting wool, such as Patons Classic Wool, in three contrasting colors, 50g each
- US size 10 needles, straight OR circular
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle.
Homework:
- With Color A, wind off 4 yds into a small ball and set aside
- With main ball of Color A, cast on 21 sts.
- Work 4 rows of Stockinette stitch, ending with a wrong side row.
