Explore the beauty of double knitting while working the Falling Leaves / Winter Snow scarf. Double knitting creates a reversible two-layer fabric where both sides are knit at the same time using knit and purl stitches. The fabric itself is hollow.  Where the color changes happen, the fabric is connected together. The color motif is reversed on the other side.

Using knit and purl stitches you will learn how to create a beautiful double knit fabric in this class. This pattern uses a simple cast-on and bind-off, joining technique and slip stitch edge so that we can focus on double knitting. We will be working the scarf using two sets of charts. There are four different pattern charts: two leaves and two snowflakes that you can mix and match as you desire. We will also discuss how to fix incorrect color blocks and how to rip back in double knitting.
