KDO 2023 COVID Policy
On May 11, 2023, the federal COVID-19 public health emergency declaration ended. It is still our goal to take precautions to keep all our KDO participants, especially those who are most vulnerable, safe and healthy.
Please review our COVID-19 policy below and make your personal decision about how to participate in KDO based on these requirements.
- All KDO attendees are encouraged to take precautions as it meets their needs and the needs of friends and family. We will not require attendees to wear masks at most KDO 2023 events, including the Marketplace, most classrooms, and other indoor areas.
- As stated in the class descriptions for all of Kate Atherley's classes, masks will be required in her classroom. Students who sign up for any of Kate's classes agree to this masking requirement.
- If you have symptoms, a recent positive COVID test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19, please skip KDO this year. We’ll wait to see you next year!
In addition to implementing these policies, KDO will be taking the following precautions to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
- The Marketplace has been reconfigured to allow for more social distancing. There are fewer vendors this year and more distance between booths. Traffic patterns will be laid out to keep shoppers as socially distanced as possible.
- Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer will be available in all classrooms, registration, and at the entrance to the Marketplace.
